"My role at XBD Collective involves overseeing the design and execution of commercial architecture projects, including the St. Regis Residences Financial Centre Road Dubai. What sets our approach apart is the focus on blending creativity with functionality to meet our clients’ needs while ensuring the highest design standards. From the early design stages to the construction phase, I work closely with engineers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure that every detail aligns with the client’s vision.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work is being able to see projects through from concept to completion. For the St. Regis Residences, I was involved in every step—from managing the Experience Centre to coordinating construction drawings. This hands-on approach allows us to deliver solutions that not only meet but exceed client expectations.
Clients can trust that, through my commitment to quality and collaboration, we’ll deliver designs that are both innovative and practical. We make sure every project is well-executed and aligned with budget and timeframes, ensuring a smooth and successful process from start to finish. It’s all about creating spaces that make an impact, both aesthetically and functionally."
"Designing the facade architecture of the St. Regis Residences in Downtown Dubai was an opportunity to blend cultural storytelling with cutting-edge environmental design. Situated in the vibrant heart of Downtown Dubai, the project reflects the energy of its surroundings while paying homage to the traditions and heritage of the UAE.
The design takes inspiration from the region’s history and environment, like the Falaj irrigation systems that represent unity and resourcefulness. The verticality of the facade echoes the symbolism of the Ghaf tree, a national emblem of tolerance and community, while the subtle interplay of symmetry, branded patterns, and greenery adds depth and texture.
Environmental considerations played a role in shaping the facade. With Dubai’s intense solar radiation, the building integrates self-shading balconies and other passive cooling strategies to reduce heat gain while maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic. Collaborating with Eumada, we ensured that the facade meets the local standards of sustainability and functionality, from mitigating condensation caused by high humidity to enhancing thermal comfort for residents.
This project embodies the design principles that guide us at XBD Collective: telling the story of traditions in every detail, creating interconnected and meaningful spaces, and infusing every element with purpose. It’s a privilege to be part of a team that crafts architecture not just to enhance the skyline but to resonate deeply with the people and culture it serves."
Our expertise in Hospitality Architecture services spans branded residences, boutique developments, restaurants, and mixed-use communities.
